Central Office
Why a Central Office? -- Willamette Valley Intergroup Inc. exists to aid AA groups in the
Willamette Valley area in the common purpose of carrying the AA
message to the alcoholic who still suffers. Intergroup is made up of
elected representatives from the AA groups it serves. Intergroup is
financed by the voluntary contributions of these groups, in keeping
with AA tradition.
To help coordinate efforts Intergroup operates the
Central Office. The Office serves as the hub for the 24-hour phone line, the phone directory listing for AA, as a meeting space, publishes meeting listing and schedules and "The Eye Opener" newsletter. The Office provides for the sale of A. A. literature and coins, helps provide coordination of
meetings in institutions and 12-step calls and activities necessary to carry the
AA message, and so much more.
