Cooperation With Professionals

How Alcoholics Anonymous Cooperates with Professionals

Professionals often encounter people who may have a drinking problem.

The professional sees the wreckage the person’s drinking has caused to themselves and those around them.

These professionals include, but are not limited to:

*Physicians      *Social Workers      *Clergy      *Psychologists      *Attorneys      *Educators      *Nurses      *Counselors      *Employers

Alcoholics Anonymous has many members and committees available to provide professionals with information about Alcoholics Anonymous. The Cooperation with the Professional Community (CPC) Committee is set up to work specifically with professionals. To help those with a desire to stop drinking to come in contact with A.A., the CPC committee will:

* Arrange for A.A. members to present an overview of A.A. to you or your staff.

* Take you to an open AA meeting so you can see for yourself what it is.

* Provide you with A.A. members who would be happy to accompany your patients/clients/etc to their first A.A. meeting.

* Mail to you local meeting schedules.

* Put you into contact with other A.A. committees who can help you with:
